To better reflect the aims of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs https://sdgs.un.org/goals) the College has introduced two new undergraduate Life Sciences tracks: Environmental Science & Sustainability, and Biological Sciences & Nanotechnology (https://cos.alfaisal.edu/en/ug-program-track-options). At the graduate level students can go on to do Master of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Students are exposed to multidisciplinary approaches while studying environmental science, sustainable development, materials chemistry, microelectronics, photonics, as well as the biomedical and energy applications of the technology.

As a performance indicator, Alfaisal University was ranked in the top 201-250 by The 2022 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking, 36th worldwide by THE Young Universities Ranking 2021 (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/alfaisal-university) and 9th globally by THE “World’s Best Small Universities 2021”. The College is renowned for its research with over a dozen patents by its faculty and students.
