Environmental Sciences & Sustainability (ESS)
The ESS track is interdisciplinary in nature and provides undergraduate students with the scientific foundation in all the basic sciences as well as environmental sciences & sustainability. The program equips the students with the scientific knowledge and hands-on training to evaluate environmental issues, implement solutions for environmental challenges and sustainable development, and considers the interrelated social and economic domains. Courses in the program meet all the requirements needed to pursue research and graduate studies in environmental sciences, chemical sciences, environmental health, biotechnology, and biomedical fields. The ESS track is in line with the new direction in the Kingdom and the World, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to tackle environmental issues and concerns related to food, water, and energy sustainability.
